A must for the amateur or beginning astronomerMar 25, 2009 This package of software and books is a must for those just getting into backyard astronomy. The software, for example, tells you precisely where a sky object -- such as a planet or star -- is in the sky, based on your actual location and time of day. You simply go outside and point your telescope where Starry Night says the object will be and go from there. And that's just the beginning of what the software can do. The entry-level astronomy book that comes with the package is also excellent.

Retired Pro photographerMay 25, 2008 I like the manfrotto mono pod. It os light weight. My canon 70-200 zoom has a collar and i can lossen it a bit for vertical as well as horizontal shots. The only problem is the bottom pull out could be a made sturdier.
That is why i gave it 4 stars.
